Should I sell my mid cap funds?

Me and my family members invested our savings in MF, of which most was invested in Midcap funds mainly SBI Magnum MidCap fund and SBI Global Fund, and all out portfolio are suffering huge losses I would like to know if you could help us with your advice if we need to shuffle our MF investments or we can outsource management of our funds in equity. Please guide

Hi Mukund,

The stock markets have not being doing too well over the past 18 months and it is no surprise that your funds are not doing too well.

First of all you should have a risk profile done...so that we know about your goals,risk taking ability and risk tolerance.

Once you have a risk profile and an asset allocation you can then systematically invest in a few funds.

When you invest in MFs you have to stay invested at least 7-10 years before you see sufficient amount wealth being generated.

So i suggest u connect with a good advisor before u take any action on selling any funds.
